April Statistics Published
The latest Join Dementia Research volunteer registration data are now available.
April 2020 highlights:
- Number of volunteers to the end of April totals 47,185 (5,870 with a dementia diagnosis, which is 1% of total number of people with a diagnosis – objective is 25% by December 2020)
- NHS Fylde and Wyre CCG and NHS Hartlepool and Stockton-On-Tees are the top CCGs with the most people with dementia registered on JDR (137 volunteers)
- NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucester CCG remain the top CCG for volunteers overall with 2,156
- Given the current continuing situation, we expect to see declining numbers of volunteers registering on JDR, however, in May there were 168 volunteers without dementia registering (33 from Alzheimer’s Research UK; 32 from internet search)
- And there were 29 volunteers with dementia registered in April up from 21 in April; 38% via memory clinics
